Most of you must be wondering that why I share so many recipes for Breads, Pizzas and Pies… 🙂 And the only answer I have is – Baking breads releases my stress levels and make me feel relaxed and content. This week is very very terrible for me as one of my closest friend suffered a cardiac arrest surprisingly… He has one of the healthiest lifestyle among-st all of us.. Posted on a top profile in a corporate giant and leading a healthy family life with proper work – life balance is what he is known for… But still nothing helped.. It came as a shocking surprise for us when his wife called Abhishek ( my husband) in the wee morning hours and asked him to rush him immediately to hospital…The World trembled all of a sudden and we all were in hospital praying for his speedy recovery… It is a tough moment for us.. Their daughter is with me since morning today… Shez a little sweetheart who loves to have Pizzas and breads… Aged 5, she loves to cook and bake…and when she came to knew that she has to stay with Kriti Di, she carried her Betty Crocker Cooker Cake Mixture, Chocolate sauce and Oregano so that she can come and bake with me. Such a little darling she is! 🙂
Hence, we together prepared The loaded Bread today and Reha enjoyed a lot.. 🙂 This recipe is dedicated to my loving friends and their daughter… I have prepared it with the healthiest flour i.e. Whole Wheat flour. Let’s have a look at the recipe.
This recipe is a part of 102nd Foodie Monday Bloghop wherein the theme for today’s bloghop is #FireLess Cooking.
Preparation time: 1 hr ( 45 mins dough raising)
Cooking time: 30 mins
For the dough
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 cups Wheat Flour
- Salt – According to taste
- 1/2 cup warm Milk
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
For Tomato Sauce
- 1 pack Safal Tomato Puree
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic minced
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Salt according to taste
- Veggies of your choices
- I simply used Corns, Cherry Tomatoes, Broccoli, Mushrooms and Bell Peppers
Method – Heat butter and add ginger–garlic. Let it microwave on high for 1 min. Add puree. Let it simmer on MW for 2 min. Add tomato ketchup and spices. Mix well and let it simmer for another 2 mins. Add crushed basil leaves. Tomato – Basil sauce is ready!
Dissolve sugar in the warm water and add yeast. Mix lightly and let it prove for 20 mins.Sieve the flours + salt together. Add 1 tbsp olive oil.Knead it well using yeast water. Add more water if required. Once kneaded, brush it with olive oil and let it rest for 1 hr. Dough will be doubled in it’s size.
- Now, roll a certain portion of dough into a rounded shape
- Spread a mixture of Tomato Sauce
- Top it with the toppings
- Grate Mozzarella Cheese
- Put it on the baking tray in a pre-heated oven
- Let it bake at 180 degrees for 20 mins
- Your Loaded bread is ready
