Pineapple Salsa Cups

Come winters and markets are flooded with fresh colorful fruits and vegetables. You are free to experiment as much as you can as you will be getting all the treats from the nature right here in this season. πŸ™‚ Recently on my visit to Mandi ( Local Vegetables & Fruits market), I bought a huge lot of oranges, apples, strawberries, pomegranate and pineapple. πŸ™‚

Yeahhh I am happy! πŸ™‚ Β Now with so much beautiful ingredients in the kitchen, obviously the chef in me started thinking of some innovative recipe and I decided to bake some salsa cups in Indianized way. Please have a look on the recipe and start baking!


Serves: 2

Preparation time: 10 mins

Cooking time: 20 mins


For cups

All purpose flour – 2 cups

Ajwain seeds – 1 tsp

Salt – a pinch of

Oil – 1 tbsp

Water – to knead

For filling

Pineapple cubes – 1 bowl

Cottage cheese cubes – 1 bowl

Green bell peppers – finely chopped – 1/2 bowl

Salt – According to taste

Black pepper – Pinch

Butter – 1 tsp

For garnishing

Pomegranate seeds

Green mint dip

Imli dip


Mix all the dough ingredients and knead a tight dough out of them. Make small balls and roll them over to cover the small tart moulds. Bake them at 180 degrees for 18 mins. Once done, take them out and let them cool.

Crisp baked cups are ready!

For the filling – Heat butter in a pan. Add pineapple, capsicums and cottage cheese. Stir – Fry on high flame. Add black pepper and salt. Mix well. Pineapple Salsa is ready!


Now arrange the pineapple salsa on baked cups. Garnish with dips and Pomegranate seeds.
