Puffed Poori

Poori is one of the most famous Indian bread prepared with flour, carom seeds and salt. One of the easiest bread to prepare, poori is super delicious and goes with almost every Indian curry.

Serves: 4

Preparation time: 5 mins

Cooking time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 2 tsp carom seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Water for kneading
  • Oil for frying

Recipe

Mix wheat flour, carom seeds, salt and oil. Knead a soft dough with water. Knead it for atleast 5-7 mins for a perfect one.

Divide the dough into 16 equal balls.Roll them in circular shape. Keep the oil for heating. Once done add a pinch of salt* into it. Fry the rolled dough accordingly. Pooris are ready! 🙂
*Adding a pinch of salt in the oil, makes sure that less oil is absorbed in pooris.
